With Adobe Spark you can quickly and easily create a portfolio, cover image, resume, to brand yourself, to promote something, to tell a story or to post something just for fun without any skills which are traditionally required. Adobe Spark is available for web and companion iOS apps: Spark Post, Spark Page and Spark Video. In this post, I will give you the basic and the only information you will ever need to start using this wonderful free online application.

Created content can be easily shared online or downloaded for print. There is no need for any special knowledge of coding or design skills to use this app. It is a simple, intuitive and engaging app for just anyone.

How to access Adobe Spak

Creative Cloud subscribers can access Adobe Spark from Creative Cloud desktop app > Apps >All Apps > Spark > click on the Launch button.

Another way is to visit Adobe Spark and to click Start now for free button in the top right corner.

How to get started with Adobe Spark

After signing up you can use some of the pre-defined templates, to learn using How to Create Branded Stories in Adobe Spark or to click on plus (+) sign at the top and to create new: post, page or video. There is also link: What can I make with Spark? with further explanation and pre-defined templates.

To get started click on plus sign (+) in the top middle of start screen then choose Post, Page, or Video.

After choosing kind of content that you want to create simply scroll down and pick template which you like to modify and customize it.

For each category: Post, Page, or Video you will have a list of grouped pre-defined designs to start and later to customize them.

How to customize content

After picking the template you can play with predefined and custom options for Design, Layout, Palette, Background, and Text.

Depend on type of content there are always lots of choices for customization. With Facebook Ad template, for example, you will see a plus sign (+) which allows you to add content like text and images which can be further customized with some effect, different layout... There are also sliders to rotate and scale image, to change the font, font color, background and so on...

After choosing the template you can customize it. In the top right corner, you can switch between tabs to display options for quick customization. You can also click on plus sign just above design to display icons which allows you to add image, text or logo.

How to share or download content

When you are done creating and customizing content just click on the Share button in the top middle of the page. Depend on content you have created there will be several options: Download, Publish, Share. You will need to enter some additional details then to create a link. Posting to Facebook and Twitter can be done directly. There will be and ready-made embed code to embed content on your blog or site.

After modifying and customizing content click on Share icon in the top center of the page. You will be able to download content, to get the embed code or to quickly share on Facebook and Twitter.
